Drawing, painting, sketching... Suitable for children from the age of 3. With Jovi Coloured Pencils, children won't have time to get bored! These crayons come in a wide range of attractive colours which can be combined, allowing children to work with all types of paper and card.
They have a very durable lead that is great for drawing with. The wood is extra-smooth and sharpening them is easy.
Shading is the most traditional technique and is achieved by working from lighter to darker tones of colour. The coloured areas are created by drawing lines very close together or placed one on top of the other.
Different colour values are achieved by drawing lines, one on top of the other, in a criss-cross pattern. The criss-cross pattern should be thicker in the area where a darker shade is required.
First, sharpen a series of different coloured pencils. Then, sprinkle the powder from one colour over the area to be coloured in and rub it gently with a piece of cotton wool in order to spread the colour. Do the same with all the colours required in order to create a drawing with blended, soft tones.
By applying a thick layer of white pencil over a drawing coloured in using the shading technique, the user can achieve blended tones similar to those in a pastel drawing.
