1. Sealant

One or several layers of varnish can be applied straight from the bottle, or diluted in a little water, onto a porous surface to make it easier to apply plastic paints.

2. Protection and shine

A layer of Jovi Varnish can be applied to dried figures made from Jovi Air-Hardening Clay, Patcolor or Patmaché (either painted or not), modelling-clay figures or wax-crayon drawings, to protect them from dust and scratching. It gives the pieces a shiny finish.

3. Serviette technique

The varnish can be used like glue to fix motifs cut out of paper serviettes onto boxes or objects made of cardboard, plastic, wood or Jovi Modelling Clay. These cut-out shapes are placed directly onto the surface of the boxes or objects or on top of a layer of Jovidecor Paint which has been painted on beforehand and has now dried out. Then the entire piece is varnished so that the decorative motif is completely integrated into the artwork.

  • For fresh stains, washing with water and liquid soap is sufficient. Stains cannot be removed once dry.
