This Christmas, send your wishes to Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men with this DIY Christmas letterbox. Are you up for it?
- Take a square cardboard box and draw a curve with a pencil on both sides of the box .
- Cut out the drawn area with a box cutter or scissors.
- Draw and cut out a hole on one side of the box to put the letters inside.
- Fold the cardboard ‘cover’ (the 2 remaining sides of the box) and tape them with masking tape to make the shape of the mailbox.
- Use the gouache to give the box a first coat of white paint and let it dry.
- Paint a first coat with red gouache. If necessary, you can apply a second coat until the mailbox is well covered.
- Once the paint has dried, draw the lettering and the coloured details on the front of the box in pencil.
- Paint the lettering and details. You can use a piece of cardboard to paint, cut out and glue the details such as the stamp and the sign.
